The Northern Rangers go HD

For 2011 the Northern Rangers have decided to go HD. That's right, all of our adventures will now be in High Definition! So tune back in as we show you everything that we see, only now, it will be crystal clear.

To start off the HD Northern Rangers we decided to show you one of our favorite hikes, Poo Poo Point, and the views from the top. Check it out:

Bicycle training update

Today I headed out on my final training ride for the People's Coast Classic before the wedding and honeymoon. I'll have one more training ride when I get back before the PCC. Just a quick ride the week before.

However on today's ride I felt great. A quick 40 miles and the legs felt strong. Some climbing, some flat, some rolling hills.

Also, on my ride outside of Issaquah I saw these two cute little mini horses.

Bike training

While Lance Armstrong, Tyler Farrar and Alberto Cantador are getting ready for Stage 4 of the Tour de France, I've been doing some training of my own.

I'm still training for the People's Coast Classic.

This week I decided that since the weather was finally nice I'd do some back to back days of training.

Four days of 30 mile rides.

Today was day two. Yesterday I did the loop around Lake Sammamish and through Issaquah. Today I rode the Issaquah-Hobart rode out to Hobart and back.

Tomorrow, I'm not sure where I'll go.

But I'll tell you one thing, I am loving this nice weather! Thank goodness summer seems to finally be here.

New Northern Rangers video

Due to time constraints it has taken me longer to get the Northern Rangers video up then I wanted.

But tomorrow, instead of just one video, I'll host TWO NEW Northern Rangers videos.

We went on a hike up Poo Poo Point in Issaquah, Washington today.

So check back in tomorrow for TWO Northern Rangers videos.

What not to do when bike riding

Today I went for a bike ride. We went down and around Issaquah. Here are the JustSON top 10 tips of what NOT to do on a bike.

10. Hit a parked car.

9. Get attacked by a blackberry bush on the overgrown trail.

8. Run over a bunch of loose nails in the bike lane.

7. Take a "short-cut" that actually adds 10 miles.

6. Crash trying to do a jump at a skatepark with your mountian bike. In front of a bunch of skater high school kids.

5. Sing DMB while riding.

4. Hit a second parked car.

3. Have blood run down your arm.

2. Run into the guy holding the "Dinner specials at local pizza place" sign on the sidewalk.

1. Stay out, thanks to the "short-cut" until it gets dark and have no flashlight.

Poo Poo Point

With the sunny skies coming out around Seattle, the Northern Rangers headed for Poo Poo Point in Issaquah, Washington. The trailhead from the hang-glider/paragliding landing area is the steeper of two routes to Poo Poo point. The trail climbs steeply and steadily all the way to the top. At the top there is an amazing view of Mount Rainier.
