Sea otter and osprey kayaks

Last week I wrote about how I bought some new kayaks. Well, I don't own a truck, or a way to get them from Tacoma (where I bought them) to where we are storing them.

However, my dad has a big Ford truck, and no, he's not Mike Rowe.

Anyway, I can't wait to get them on the water.

Here's a picture of the decals on the front. Pretty awesome.

  1. They look so cool ! I bought a WW kayak for this summer ( I'll have to pay extra
$ 300 for classes ), and thinking about buying a recreational one for $150-200 ( somehow paying $700 for something I'll be using 10 times a year doesn't make sense).

  2. Very nice Casey. Much history in those symbols.
Have a look at the guidebooks for the San Juans & Gulf Islands, and especially the Broken Group!
You'll surely enjoy all of them.

  3. hey all, i'm revising the Mountaineers book, '50 Trips, Kayaking Puget Sound to the San Juans and Gulf Islands". Last edition was 99' so a lot of changes to be made including adding info on travelling via paddle boards.

also check out the Washington Water Trails Assoc for marine trails and campsites, wwta.org.
